Uttar Pardesh Technical University

 

Uttar Pradesh Technical University was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8th May 2000 vide Act No. 1248(2)XVII-V-I-I-19-2000 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000. Under the University Act, 'Technical Education' includes programmes of education, research and training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such other programmes and areas that the central Government may in consultation with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) by notification in Gazette declare. 

The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of U.P. in affiliating B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes in 785 colleges/institutions imparting graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level training in all government and private institutions located all over U.P. in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology as well as M.B.A. and M.C.A. programmes.  

University is offering B.Tech Degree course at various Private and Government aided Institutes all over Uttar Pardesh.

University Conduct end semester external exam which are mandatory to obtain degree from the university.

SSC JE 2012 Objective Paper Subject Wise Mark Distribution and Analysis


Dear Aspirants,

We have analysed the objective Paper of JE Examination 2012, which was conducted by Staff selection commission.

Out of 100 Question, The distribution of marks in different subjects is :

1.  Strength of Material 25 Marks
2.  Building Material and construction 19 Mark
3.  Reinforced Concrete Structure 15 Mark
4.  Surveying 14 Marks
5.  Fluid Mechanics 9 marks
6.  Soil Mechanics 7 mark
7.  Environmental Engineering 4 mark
8.  Steel Structures 3 marks
9.  Highway and Traffic Engineering 2 Marks
10. Irrigation Engineering 1 marks
The points which also need consideration:
1.In Reinforced concrete structures mainly questions were asked based on the recommendations of IS 456 and one or two question were also asked from topics mainly Design of Beam for Flexure and Shear.

2.One have to prepare strength of material, Building Material and construction sincerely. Difficulty level is low and one can find all questions in these subjects from book by Gupta and Gupta

3.In Fluid Mechanics Open channel flow is important.

4. I would not like to suggest wasting time in preparing environment engineering and Highway and traffic engineering as they can question from any part of syllabus. But one can go, If he has plenty of time.

5.Skip Irrigation as weightage is very low and questions are of general nature, which one can easily answer. 

6. In soil soil mechanics questions are being asked from 5 or 6 chapters of starting. Difficulty level low. Similar questions can be found in Gupta and Gupta.

7. Last year Cutoff for objective is 80 out of 200 and expected cutoff for this year will be around 85-90 (as No of Btech Students applying for SSC JE is increasing every year so cutoff may increase above 90 in extreme condition)

8. For objective, pattern will more or less remain same every year.

9. In Civil Engineering "Gupta and Gupta" and "R Agor" are best books for preparation although subject matter is not given in these books. People used to learn objective questions from these books, which can be easily found in any competitive exam. Books containing Subject matter are also available in Market but I would not suggest them as they are neither good nor authentic.

SSC JE Analysis




 Hello All,

We are aware that lot of our friend are searching for the previous year cut-off of Junior Engineer exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

We analysed the results of last three year SSC JE exams and we uploading them in form of tables.

It can be easily verified that number of marks are increasing both for Paper I and Paper II.

No of student appearing in Paper I and also No of student qualified for Paper II are also increasing. But in addition to it we also have to look on increasing number of Post in various departments.

As difficulty level of various year paper varies a lot, so it is hard to predict the cut-off of this year JE paper.

The marks of the candidate in various departments are also presented in form of tables which may be used a reference by aspirants hoping to be selected in various departments.
